The Power of Three game was designed with RPG Maker VX, and while still based in Ruby, the graphics and functionality differ slightly from the first two games. It's also important to remember to upgrade the claws equipped to each character as they advance, this will give you an advantage when fighting enemies. Stats determine how well your cats perform in combat, at higher levels you'll do more damage to opponents and take less damage when struck by their attacks or skills. Leveling up brings stat increases and sometimes new skills for use in combat. With enough EXP, your characters will advance to another level. When an enemy is defeated, or after completion of certain story objectives, you'll gain EXP. It's important to save often, in case of an unexpected defeat! Collecting revival items can also be useful, as they can bring back a defeated party member in the middle of a battle.
If every character in your party reaches 0 HP, you'll receive a game over, and be returned to your last save point. Combat will progress with your action and the enemies' actions before giving you another chance to select an action. You'll have a chance to select your action, whether it be a basic attack, a skill requiring SP, or an item. Items may be used in story events, for assistance in combat, for healing, equipment to boost stats, or a variety of other purposes.Īll three of the games use a turn based combat system. Many items exist in the games which can be obtained in a variety of ways, from hunting prey or discovery on the map, to drops from defeated enemies or purchases in stores. As you explore and progress through the storyline, you'll meet more cats and find a larger selection available to you, although many characters will be entirely unavailable until completion of the main story. You'll begin each game with a small group of playable characters, or in the original game, a single character. Gameplay is similar to that of many RPGs, and uses a turn based combat system for battling enemies. The instructions there will guide you through the process of downloading and setting up the games.

If you haven't finished reading the books yet and are concerned about spoilers, be aware, these games do contain spoilers for those who haven't finished the series on which each game is based. As of 2015 there are no plans for a fourth game.
The games allow you to play through the stories told in these books from the perspective of the main characters, and include the storylines from the original series, the New Prophecy series, and the Power of Three series. As you probably know if you're here, the three games featured on this site are based on the Warrior Cats books by Erin Hunter, published by Harper Collins.
